ADOBE GUEST SUITE: SW DESERT OASIS
The space:
The Adobe Guest Suite is designed for comfort and sustainability and offers the perfect blend of eco-friendly design and modern amenities. Inside, you'll find 2 spacious bedrooms each with their own ensuite bathroom, a well stocked kitchen for home cooked meals, beautiful granite countertops, spacious closets, and expansive windows that invite natural light.

Adobe Construction: This is home showcases traditional Adobe architecture—a sustainable building style crafted from sun-dried bricks of soil, clay, straw, and water. Adobe has been used for centuries in the Southwest, where its thick walls provide natural insulation and help regulate indoor temperatures—keeping the home cooler during the heat of the day and warmer when temperatures drop at night.
Important Details: Located off site from Gleatherland Ranch, the suite is just 1 mile to entrance of the world-famous Hueco Tanks. The guest suite is 1200 Sq Ft of separate living space from the main residence with it's own private entrance, backyard and parking area. Please note the guest suite is attached to the main house by one shared wall. The suite offers plenty of seclusion, however some outdoor spaces are shared. No camping available at this location.

HIGH SEASON : $150 - $175 per night (up to 4 guests)
LOW SEASON : $120 - $145
Add $30/night for each additional person. Cleaning fee $115 , + $25 cleaning fee for groups over 6 guests

With its thick walls and passive solar design, this unique 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom space combines modern luxury with eco-friendly construction. Inside, you'll find concrete countertops, stainless steel appliances, plush beds, and beautifully tiled bathrooms, each with a tub and shower for ultimate relaxation. The open-concept layout and large windows flood the home with natural light, offering breathtaking views of Hueco Tanks and the surrounding mountains.

Straw-bale construction: This home showcases straw-bale architecture—a sustainable building style using tightly packed bales of straw as structural and insulating components. This building method that provides excellent insulation and energy efficiency compared to conventional construction. Our Straw-Bale Home also incorporates passive solar design, using the sun’s natural warmth to help keep the home comfortable during the cooler winter months.

The home is located on our 18-acre campground, Gleatherland Ranch, which also features yurt and camper rentals (primarily available during the fall, winter, and spring). The straw-bale house sits on its own private acre with a fenced backyard, giving guests plenty of space and privacy to relax. Please note that other campground guests may have pets.

All rentals include: WIFI*, Electricity, heat, AC, Kitchen facilities with all necessary items for cooking , including refrigerator, food storage space, stove/oven, pots/pans, plates, coffee maker, laundry facilities. Full bedding and towels provided. 2 crash pads available for house guests. * WIFI - new high speed WiFi.
*CLEANING - We take cleaning seriously--all towels, linens, bedding, including comforters and blankets, are thoroughly laundered after every guest. Every surface is carefully sanitized to ensure a spotless, clean environment. Cleaning fee for rental units is used to cover the labor and materials for cleaning. *DOGS WELCOME: Guests may bring a pet with prior arrangement. However for the comfort of future guests and for hygiene purposes, animals are not allowed on furnishings or beds. Substantial extra charges willRESERVATION POLICIES apply if this occurs (house/potty trained only). Pet fee required for all pets. Dogs must be under owner control. Aggressive dogs not tolerated. If we receive complaints, we will ask you to leash your pet or find other accommodation. Owners are asked to clean up waste in common areas. Kennel avail for guest use. Do not feed or allow strays inside. Pet fees will apply to ANY pet inside rental. Pet owners are asked to keep pets off beds and furniture, if this is not a possibility for your fur baby, we ask you bring your own bedding. Extra charges will be assessed if necessary.
