Originally from the Midwest and East Coast, we met at the Red River Gorge when we were both just getting started as climbers. Our first trip to Hueco Tanks was in 2000—our first-ever bouldering trip. We fell in love with Hueco and have been coming back ever since.
During our early years in Hueco, we spent winters working as camp hosts at HRR. Eventually, we bought our own piece of property in Hueco and started what would become Gleatherland Ranch.
For the first 17 years, we lived the seasonal life—spending winters in Hueco and summers in Colorado, working to make our winters in the desert possible. Then, in 2017, everything changed when our son was born. We made the leap to full-time life in Hueco.
What started as a love of climbing and a place we returned to year after year eventually became our home, our campground, and a place we could share with others who love Hueco as much as we do.
